I wanted to write as it has been a while – with a fist for the festive season, found in an issue of the Abolitionist from 2013. I’m starting to think about Wolff again after being tied up with a few other projects for a while (including one on her friend, the radio producer and experimenter Ernst Schoen (1894-1960), co-written with Esther Leslie, that should be out next year). Over the coming months I want to look more into Wolff’s work as a doctor of reproductive medicine and electro-therapies in Neukölln in the 1920s. I also want to finally and properly teach myself her technique of hand-reading so I am writing today to offer a service: if you draw around your hand on a blank postcard, and include a number of lines that interest you, and post it to me, I will reply with some remarks of interpretation. It could be your hand but it could also be the hand of someone else, known or unknown to you. Please include your postal address. I will reply within 10 days of receipt and I shall offer the service until the end of January 2022. I may or may not make it up. My address is: Sam Dolbear, ICI Berlin, Christinenstr. 18/19, Haus 8, 10119 Berlin. Wishing everyone all the best for 2022, in the spirit of July 1919.
